Why Sail in Europe?

That's where the top competition is! Our goal is to medal at the Paralympics. In order to do that, we must prepare by competing against the top disabled sailors in the world. While many of them do travel to the USA for the important international regattas, that simply isn't enough practice. We must go to them as well.

With our coaches guidance, we have learned that we must sail in as many regattas as possible under disabled sailing rules. We sail the boat differently with only 3 crew and no spinnaker vs. able bodied Sonar sailing.
