One of the most difficult tasks facing sailors
mounting an Olympic campaign is fundraising. Our US Sailing coach, Betsy
Alison, described the intensity of her own Olympic campaign in an interview.
Our challenges are nearly identical, except that she doesn't need to
worry about the accessibility of accommodations! The United States Sailing
Foundation provides a vehicle through which supporters can make
tax-deductible contributions to sailors campaigning for the Olympics or
Paralympics.
Our short term goal is to raise an additional $16K by year end 2003, so that we can
compete in the top European
events, in
preparation for the U.S. Trials in November.

About the USSF
USSF is a non-profit organization that is exempt
from taxation under sections 501 (c) (3) and 501 (j) of the Internal
Revenue Code. Contributions to USSF are deductible to the extent
permitted under Section 170 of the Code.
